With the factory brackets can 50w led's be mounted onto a flush surface? I know the stock brackets are very short and I cant remember if they allow the ligts to be mounted onto a flush deck or are new brackets required. Ordered some new ligts and just trying to plan ahead. If I can avoid making brackets that'd be great.

the 4 lens screws in the corners can be replaced with longer hardware if you want to flush mount each light. just will require some exact cutting when you cut the holes.
I guess I dont understand why you would need to replace the corner glass screws.. I'm concerned about the "U" shaped mounting bracket and if its tall enough to mount on a flush surface.

actually looking back at how carpcommander did his I think I would get some 1x1 square tubing and make some hoops and get them up 6" off the deck. like a greenway did his boat years ago. ill see if I can find a pic.

I really like this setup I just don't have access to a welder so I guess I'll be cutting and bending up some brackets out of aluminum.
