Hey

I've been fishing my whole life but I have been bowfishing only twice when on vacation and it was so much fun! :)

I'm not real good at it but it was so much fun and awesome. I got a few in schools tho

Now I want to buy some equipment but I don't want to spend a lot of money.

Can someone please help me on what to buy that's not too expensive to start out with

I want to get out and have some fun but I just don't have huge amounts of money so I'm not sure where you start

Thank you :)

Welcome to the forum from Minnesota. There is lots of information on here in old posts.

Couple of questions to start with......

1: Are you planning on shooting from a boat or from shore?

2: Do you plan on doing any night bowfishing?

3: What type of budget are you looking to have?

A new setup bow will run $300+, a generator $400+, and lights would be $150+.

With that being said you can find used bows that are setup for cheaper, but that is the lower end for generator and lights. It just gets more expensive from there.
