Alright so I have been looking all over this sites troller section to learn about running a trolling motor from a generator. I have a 12' boat so I can't put a big generator on it. I have a 30lb thrust troller and I am running an 800w generator for only 310 watts in LEDs. My question is this. Is it even possible for my generator to handle a converter. Do they make one that I could use. If so and you have pics of converters on your boat please post so I can see how it works. Thanks guys.

The smallest powermax converter pulls 600 watts. Not sure if iota makes anything smaller. So to answer your question no it won't work. BBest bet would be go out an buy like a 1200 or 1500w genny. You can find em fairly cheap. Or add another battery in the boat
