Thanks all and appreciate the support, it was a very tough decision but had to make it!
Working on the schedule and should have something figured out fairly soon and will be letting ya'll know!

 

Hopefully I will be able to make it out. I just about have the deck on my boat finished. I am hoping that it will be done by the end of the week. I wanna be able to come to the Muzzy Classic

 

I wonder how bad Brian and Backwater got hit?

 

Power is down, store closed till resolved.
Will take online orders but won't be processed until power is back on.

 

Their where good when I was there yesterday, but 3,000,000 people are with out power was the last I heard!!

Chuck brought him a generator last night from what I heard

 

probably not the best decision for bowfisherman to be running around on a lake right after a natural disaster just came through and people lost everything.good call mark on a bad situation.theres always another time.

Im with everyone else this was a good call on your part Mark. We were very lucky onthe timing of this we could have been on the lake. Everyone was lucky to make it back to the ramp last year.

we are greatly sorry for everyone who has suffered in this series of storms. my family is praying for everyone down in the area effected and is ready to come help anyone ther needing it. we had a friend there who lost his home and his family only made it by crawling into the crawlspace of ther home. God bless.

 

I think it was a good thing too. some of the other local areas are getting power back. we just got ours back about an hour ago. There is still a big rush on gas though. Good call Mark!

i sure hope we can get the muzzy back on soon. looking at a calender the weekend of the may 28th is right at a month away. Sure would be a good time to hit the water? just me thinking out loud...

 

Yea good call mark! Its still bad down here and Alabama power guys that I have talked to are saying it might me 2 weeks in birmingham b4 power is back on! Keep everyone in prayers!

 

Definitely the right call and a bad deal here, complete disaster area and a while before we get power looks like, very little gas, and not much to do. Thanks to Chuck Belmore for brining me a generator. Of course it had a busted weld in the fuel disconnect from the factory, thanks Champion but I got it going. After two days of it we headed south to get some power and so I could get some internet and get some things done. Thanks for bearing with us.

 

Hope everything gets cleaned up and restored back to normal quickly!!! Sad thing is you wont see wide spread fundraisers or fundraiser concerts for natural disasters here on our own soil! :td:

What if we the bowfishermen do some kind of fund raiser for the town since they have been so good to host the muzzy as well as the big fish challenge. Just a donation box.

 

What if the muzzy classic turned into a fundraiser tournament! I think that would be awesome!

 

Bump! I know gas is expensive now but I think with the amount of the bowfishing community affected there is no reason why we can't put together a fundraiser tourney to help

 

What will help them is to go to the reschedule Muzzy, put money back in their economy.

 

Were gonna do our best to be there! Will be tough with summer school but were gonna try!

 

We were already down there when we heard about the we still think it was a great call especially after certain ng the damage

I talked to mike on his way home from g'ville and he said he wasn't sure if he'd be able to make it back over or not. I know all the fish had thawed and needed to be cooked up when he got home and the fish wasn't keep so I don't see him, nor would I expect him to buy more fish for the next event

 

I certainly hope so but have not talked with Mike about it. I know Guntersville is looking forward to having us back and supporting the community and will be talking with the city about some dates today. Thanks

 

I am sure with the situation that we would be able to work something out without having Mike and Dan go thru any extra expense, heck with all the people that come we can definitely come up with some stuff to cook and eat, just need to make sure everybody can make it back for another go at it. Will be talking with Mike today as well and see what we can work out.
