Have been all over this in the morning and although Guntersville wants us there we have no information on when power can be restored whether it will be days or not and with the burden the storms have put on the community and the state, we feel it is best to cancel the shoot at this time and reschdule for later during the summer. I will post up information on when we will be able to hold the shoot again and will try and do it as to not conflict with other shoots going on.
We will be calling all the individuals we have on our list as well as ask those reading this to attempt to contact those that are enroute or currently there as well to let them know. We will be offering your choice of holding on to the entry fees to apply to the future shoot or recieve a refund.
We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and tried our best to proceed with the event but there are too many unknown variables not to mention the enormous loss and damage to the area and do not want to tax anymore of the resources available in that area not to mention the tough conditions the lake will be in.
We hope all understand our situation and are only doing what is best for our sport, competitors and the community. Thanks

I think it was a good thing too. some of the other local areas are getting power back. we just got ours back about an hour ago. There is still a big rush on gas though. Good call Mark!

i sure hope we can get the muzzy back on soon. looking at a calender the weekend of the may 28th is right at a month away. Sure would be a good time to hit the water? just me thinking out loud...

Definitely the right call and a bad deal here, complete disaster area and a while before we get power looks like, very little gas, and not much to do. Thanks to Chuck Belmore for brining me a generator. Of course it had a busted weld in the fuel disconnect from the factory, thanks Champion but I got it going. After two days of it we headed south to get some power and so I could get some internet and get some things done. Thanks for bearing with us.

I talked to mike on his way home from g'ville and he said he wasn't sure if he'd be able to make it back over or not. I know all the fish had thawed and needed to be cooked up when he got home and the fish wasn't keep so I don't see him, nor would I expect him to buy more fish for the next event

I certainly hope so but have not talked with Mike about it. I know Guntersville is looking forward to having us back and supporting the community and will be talking with the city about some dates today. Thanks

I am sure with the situation that we would be able to work something out without having Mike and Dan go thru any extra expense, heck with all the people that come we can definitely come up with some stuff to cook and eat, just need to make sure everybody can make it back for another go at it. Will be talking with Mike today as well and see what we can work out.
