So I bought 6 new lights from econolight because my other ones were poorly mounted by the guy I bought the boat from. I bought 6 of the 6x9s and 2 caps from capacitorking. The ones I got from capacitorking has 2 blue wires coming from it. I'm assuming that it doesn't matter which wire goes to which spot... My question is that I have the caps from the 9x9s that were on the boat and they are MPP Capacitors, still the 55uf. It has a black and a white wire coming from it. Again I'm assuming that it doesn't matter which wire goes to which part...? Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, is there anyway to check if a cap is bad? I had one take a quick swim... long story... has anyone put these in their 6x9 housings? Do they fit?

Doesn't matter which terminals are what, your good just one on each terminal

You need an electrical meter to test a cap, my meter actual Checks and gives capacitance rating but check them on continuity and should see continuity,if no continuity or open is bad, and normally if bad the case will be bulged out. But are pretty good sealed and if went for swim are likely still good
