I wanted to ask the question first---:D

FOR THE $39 150'S FROM ECONOLIGHT A CAP IN THE 50-55UF RANGE WORKS BEST. LOL

Here's the wiring diagram for adding a cap to a 150 watt reactor type ballast hps light.

Here's Econolights ballast line data sheet.

nobody gonna help me out?
I thought you were joking. No you don't but a cap will reduce the amp draw by about 50%.

OBG I know your good with this electrical stuff are you an electrical engineer? I remember seeing on a thread right before the apocalypse that the digital ballast were really only about 92% efficient. Is it worth the money to cap them as well?

Heck no! I flunked out of pre K. The digital ballasts are as efficient as you are gonna get so no don't try to add a cap. I'm sure they have some sort of cap arrangement inside. Basically the only lights that benefit from adding a cap are the npf hps 150's.
