I know up until 2016 it was always a certain weekend of a certain month (can't remember)... Was it voted on that who ever is hosting could have it on whatever date they wanted to provide the best possible fishing for the region? I ask cause I haven't been following to closely here lately.
Or am I out in right field again... If so my bad, I must have breathed to much argon tonight lol.

I'm talking about losing sponsorship and getting wildlife and fisheries pissed off at us. Everything is on a down low and I'm starting to get aggravated with it. So someone needs to speak up and let us know what's going on.

If the fish and wildlife issue was about the 2015 WC, then there isn't anything else I have heard about it. There was one guy that made a big stink about noise and lights. Let it be noted that this same person repeatedly complains about any use of the area that doesn't fit into his ideas.
I hope we are not losing any sponsors. I know I tried very hard last year to get as many donations as possible and thank everyone that did help us out. For this year's WC it would have been nice to see what BPS could have done if they would've won the bid. I understand the good turnout in 2014 but wish membership would've considered moving the shoot around more. I remember at one time we limited the shoot from going to the same place to often, I think it was once every 3 years.

It was voted on last year at spring meeting that whoever put in a bid for worlds could host it anytime this was done to host the tournament during better parts of the year when the fishing would be better for that area and fish would be spawning. I feel this way the rule was set in place the membership voted on it then it should be hosted on that date. There's nothing wrong with the date going to be a great tournament. Me personally if I don't like the date or format of a tournament I don't go. Just my opinion just because JP didn't win the bid doesn't mean he can't donate or support the tournament if he chooses too.

Guys the membership voted that the tournament date was up to the host at the last spring meeting. The BAA is going to stick with the date as was voted on by the membership during worlds voting back in October. We spoke with game and fish officers and while initially they had some concerns as the date coincides with turkey season, we never received a formal request to change the tournament date (when the dates were first posted so a couple months ago). As far as a company not wanting to donate to the tournament, that is their prerogative even though that issue has been resolved.

The date/tournament location was voted on and will remain as voted on by the membership as many people have requested time off and already made travel arrangements. As far as things being done on the down low, I'm not following. We have strived to be 100% transparent with everything the BAA does. I am not on the forums much these days due to work and a new baby at home but just about everyone can get in touch with Andy or I via email, phone, or Facebook.

thats correct it was voted on by the members who a lot of them don't no what was going on again behind close doors. As a concerned member myself, when the organization I've helped build since the beginning starts losing its sponsorship from a company from day 1 has been there for us because of a date conflict co-existing with there tournament, you are dam right. I have a problem with that.

This is Andy cardwell. I'm curious myself to what's been going on behind the scenes ? As for the dpfw is concerned ,they mentioned a small concern about the date initially due to being the same date as the opening of turkey season. But this has been resolved. As far as any company being mad or jaded over the date this has been resolved as well. And for john Paul not winning the bid he is just as anxious to help grow BAA as he ever has. So those are pretty much the facts.

If there were concerns about the dates it would of been a great idea to bring that up before the vote. Or is that just too much common sense:laugh:

There is absolutely no good P.R. Going to come out for Bowfishing with this being on opening day of turkey season. It was known from the beginning that it was a concern. That's a fact. I'm having a problem with some of these decisions that are being made. Nothing to to with bass pro not getting the bid or anything like that. It's just the wrong date for this tournament. I saying what I'm feeling. I'm pissed off because it was all known from day 1 and nothing was done to fix it. I no I'm gonna take heat on this, but if I can't say what I feel then..than what is the point.
