Talk to friend of mine up there and he said the wind has been very bad! I'm hoping for the best but that lake is NO joke in the wind....

So far looks like a warming trend going into the weekend. If we can get mid 80s should beof the hook. If we do have a wind issue I will most likely let the guys with smaller boats drive around to rodman and put in there if they want to.

Sounds good we will be there for sure. Thats a good idea about let us smaller boats launch out of rodman. Kevin are you shooting with Joe?

Yeah with joe. My buddy I shoot the delta tourney with is the one needing a partner. We will be up fri evening. Im going up sat hopefully meeting up with Bud and find a spot for the trailer. The ramp right next to the motel is open so im Hoping we can just use that road.
Question...what do you guys think about trying 3 man teams for the night shoot?

12 to 14 mph I'm launching out of rodman for sure! I have seen 3 to 4 foot waves out there like kuger said NO joke!!!

Just checked noaa Friday the 1st is as far as I can look 2 to 8 mph and it's looking like the wind mite die down. It's ripping up there rite now! We already payed for the room and it being the first tournament we going know matter what. It's going to be a good time know matter what and I need a vacation!!

I just check noaa weather and they are say 2 to 5 mph on Saturday. Kevin is a very easy going and I know he will let use launch anywhere we want. I will be there for sure if we have to deal with the wind so be it. It's a tournament,can't pic your weather!!!!!

Any time Dustin,same to you and Gary both!I will see ya at the Delta shoot for sure.I already booked that trip I donated for Friday night.It will be good to get it out of the way so I am not rushed to get the new boat rigged up.Maybe we can hit that night shoot in July....never have shot CL at night!!

Sounds good. I always wanted to shoot CL at night, maybe less spooky. But I will say if they are not spooky I don't see why you couldn't kill over 100 in a night. That would be off the hook! !!!!

....you may kill a 100 a day this weekend.I have had at least two 100+ days and a 200+ days on CL

I have always heard that 100 fish days are not uncommon but never seen someone come in with a load. But than again I have only shot a couple tourys there and to far to go for a day shot when I got the dirty D 5 mins from the house. I'm ready for 100+ fish day at CL!!!!!!!

The most insane frantic ,hectic,off the hook spawn I have ever seen was at Clear Lake.If you closed your eyes it sounded like a waterfall with fish splashing and this went on for most the day.It got to the point it wasnt even fun anymore...no challenge and we were both completly give out.I have an old 8mm video of that some where

I hope the area you told me to go which is still a winner every time,is where you video with the 8mm...:shh:

I did a bit of research for the nigbt shoot.. must be at least 300' away from any home or out building including camp grounds and 55db measured at 50'. After 10pm. So no fans and probably gonna need a quiet Jenni if your around houses. I think im gonna go with 50w LED. 12v any thoughts on brands? I found a couple places 6 lights for 449$. Not sure the brand other than the web site is bowlite.

Ya I'm probably out for that one my motor is over 50db at 50'. That mite hold a bunch of teams back but if that's the rules we better obey them..

A Honda 2000 is 60 to 65 db. I don't know how many db at 50' but 55db is less than the human voice.

The champ is 429$...im pretty pinched for coin this year so may even rent one if its cheap enough..gotta keep momma happy going to cabo for a week in november. I getting really pumped for this weekend just hope we have a decent turnout. Not sure how many will shoot both days though. Since i am just doing big fish and small fish I will most likely to another option pot if guys want to get.

I'm going to shoot both days so whatever you want to do on Sunday were in.

Great shoot today weather was perfect and had a great time. First place was 54 fish paid $1040 second place my self we took $200 and we got small fish paid $300. Will see what's happens tomorrow...
