Saw carpers on Clear Lake this weekend. Not sure if they did any good or if it' still too early.
Got rain coming in on Wed.
Have killed carp the first week of March before.
Lake level not to bad but rain will definitely help for later in the year.
Dragging the boat out of storage next week and installing the deck back on it.
Bow the dust of the Osprey and wait in anticipation of what is to come later in the season.
What happened to the Motherlode web site?
Team Hole in the Water

Had it on auto renew, but got a new card and never updated the info on Go Daddy so I lost everything. Gotta start over on it. Gotta get some time soon to work on it

Friend on CL today. Still nothing. Lake about three foot lower than normal for this time of year.
Tules really thick. All the old spots don't look too good this year. Need more warm weather and find a new honey hole.

Lake report.
Week end before fish looked like they might start to spawn.
This week end they were nowhere to be found.
Lake is really different from last year.
May have more luck walking into the sallow back areas.
For sure not getting a boat in to most of them.
Going to be any interesting season for sure.

Only tourney I"ve found on CL so far is the Water Pigs shoot.
Never shot it but a friend of mine has.
Kind of weird--Shoot a bunch of carp and put it your buds boat to win.
The rules are NO RULES
Team Hole in the Water is from Ukiah.
As things change I'll post here.

I also think they don't want many entries.
They say they don't want it to get large.
I think it's a 24 hour a day shot, but not sure on that part.
Sure wish Cliff would have found someone to take on his tourney.
Maybe sooner or later someone will.

Think the Almonor shoot is that week end also.
Will just have to shoot carp as soon as the weather warms up and spend the money the tourney would cost me on on other stuff.
You never have to may bows, arrows, reels, retrievers, go pros---well unless you ask my wife about that.

I have to tell ya.......and I will try and be nice...those Water Pig guys have a huge chip on there shoulder and yea, they dont want entries....I will just leave it at that. The winning's wouldnt make it worth the trip unfortunately....man would I love to have a night shoot there though!!!!!The Almanor shoot is a good time, but again.....not much $$$$....great folks though!!!!

Yea, thats what I heard too.
Not interested in shooting their tourney any ways.
More fun to go out and slay as many carp as possible.
Best day I ever had was in May and friend and I kill 64 in about four hours.
Could have killed a lot more but we just decided to only shoot the larger ones.
He and his son one time killed 125 and almost sunk his boat on the second load.
I know we need more rain but I am looking forward to warm weather and fun.
