Anyone ever tried to use one of these instead of ac genny then converters?

I'm thinking if the numbers worked you could possibly run led lights and troller silent at least half the night then fire this dc genny up and top off.

I may be off base ,anyone have thoughts.

Every vehicle in the country runs on what? A dc alternator. There is an amperage output on that generator. I have a 2000 watt power inverter. The destructions reccomend 3 deep cycle batteries in order to get the full use out of it. I could run quiet for a while on that. Then I would need over 100 amps of 12 volts to charge the rig with a generator. So that leaves you to see how long you can run with a 24 volt inverter and generator combo.

It's 2k. Same price as Honda 3000eu.

My thought is if you don't have anything running on ac why have a ac genny when you can have a dc one?

Just throwing ideas. It may not have the output that would be required

I noticed that the Bass Tracker bowfishing boats have Honda DC genny's on them.
