Some critical parts of the hull are TIG welded. Most of it is MIG welded. I will say that of all the brands of airboats I have seen, the welds on a Diamondback are in a league of their own. There is no other boat manufacturer that has welds that are even remotly comprable to the welds the guys at Diamonback produce.

The TV show " how its made" showed them using a mig spool gun...Tig is too flippin slow! Its fine for small parts but if ur making , lets say 200 3" welds putting T Bars in, give me a spool gun!

I can't speak for them...but I am certified non-destructive weld inspector...and on my boat every weld looks like they used a spool gun except the deck and rudders look like they have some Tig welds.
