What brand of digital ballasts do y'all use... I bought 16 lumatek ballasts and have sent all them back to be replaced more than once.. Just curious if I'm the only one having trouble and what brand is prefered.

What kind of problems are you having with the Lumateks? Are you running them on an inverter style generator?
Also, how long are you letting them cool down before turning them back on? They won't hold up with hot starts.....

on the subject of digital ballasts? since you guys know a lot about them...help me out....I burned a ballast in my hps light instead of replacing all that ...I was just going to get a digital ballast and hook it up to the mogul base? any issue with this? instead of chasing shorts and possibly replacing components after a short. just bypass that and go with a digital to get the light up and running. new 400 watt HPS $121 minus shipping. new digital ballast with pig tail lead from big tomato is $149 shipped. Anyone have any ideas? and why are they burning up?
i got 2 and i must say they are a little finicky.if a bulb goes out due to loose conection i have to unplug them for a couple of mins then plug them back in,if i dont unplug them they will not fire back up on their own
