WELL!,,,,, just had a badass genny rack built and got my new genny up there to see how
It runs....my boat is a 2072 with a yammie 115 jetdrive.
It does not want to plane out. The rack is all aluminum and the genny is a kholer
7er....I am also getting a 24 gallon fuel cell built as we speak so that will be 177lbs of fuel...
So motor weight 340 lbs, genny 200 lbs, fuel 174 lbs....

Last night I ran with 18 gallons of fuel... The boat don't wanna get on plane..
Do I need float pods?

could your impeller be worn or rubbing on the ring...? maybe pull the genny and go run the boat to see if it will jump on step...? maybe some trim tabs could help... I just finish putting on a Jet on my hull today and played around with weight location today... it didn't matter were it was located it jumped on plane no matter what... but yesterday the leading edge on the foot was about a inch two low and I was having issuies with it staying on plane with a load...

Look at where the cav plate is in relation to the bottom of the boat should be flush with the bottom of the boat.

My jet is mounted at the correct hight.
Before I added the rack and this generator the boat jumped on plane with NO issue...
The only thing that was changed is I added the generator stand
And sold my 65lb Yamaha generator and bought this kholer...

Gennie stand shouldnt have added that much. I know a guy that had trim tabs added and jumped it right up..how much lower does it float? Since tabs won't solve that problem and add some weight to sim. the new fuel tank and gas and see what does

I had the same problem due to too much rear weight. Float pods solved the problem.
I honestly think this is the problem.... I have the jet hight set perfect!
I'm thinking I'm gonna throw some pods on it. Just wanted to make sure before I did it.
