I know that some turnys have rules about shooting so many hours before a turny, but for the people that have the time to hit the water a few days before the restriction and for the turnys that don't have a time rule. Do yall shoot fish while scouting of just look/mark them and go back during the turny?????? If you do shoot at ever fish you see during scouting have you ever went back to the spot during the turny to find no fish left???? We do not shoot any while scouting even if it is 4 days before the turny, but thats just us. Just wondering what the rest of yall do??

If you're always scouting and not shooting, it becomes a JOB. We did this last year, and got a good case of the burn outs. This year, we're shooting and gonna have fun.

And last year Jace found a freaking amazing spot that was plum full of 12-20 lb carp…it was crazy, we watched them all week long and never shot one, we would just swing by and see if they were still there…well the night before the tournament I see lights off in that spot I flew in there and was gona just muddy up the water and scare all the fish off so this other boat wouldn’t see them, well he had been there for about 1 hour, and his deck was covered in carp eggs! I was nice and hollered at him “you seeing any?” he yells back “I have been murdering them” I yell back “are you gona shoot the tournament tomorrow night” he said “no I don’t think so” I yell back “well I am and stop shooting my damn fish, lol” he kills the generator and we talk for a few minutes and I was being very nice to him but deep down inside I wanted to kill him lol…but u know, they aren’t my fish it’s not my lake and that’s the way it goes…the next night we came in third and didn’t see one fish in that spot…we sure coulda used about 20 of them fat suckers… ill shut up now…

i am new to all the tourney deal so if i was going to scout i would be shooting a few, might not shoot everything we see like normal but at least some, its hard for me to scout so like this weekend is our first tourney and i am flying blind. never been to this place before, i hope i can atleast see a few fish

i gave up scouting, the fish are there one night, gone the next. i think you shouldnt shoot the day before, just so nobody thinks your hiding fish. thats just me anyways.

You guys that say you found some fish one night then they were gone tournament night. That's cause Brady was there shooting out the crappy holes....
See it's not really about keeping anyone from cheating, cheaters are going to cheat and ***** about it when they get beat. The rules we have in place were put there to get more participation. If every young bowfishing team thinks there is cheating going on they will never show up to see if it's true or not. If they see that
we are doing what it takes to run a CLEAN tournament, then perhaps they'll come on out and get hooked just like we are. Stop and think about that for a moment.
Who said, "if i think that spot sucks i'll shoot all the fish", that is just bad sportsmanship. What are we teaching our children, I see it everyday with kids, most are mean little shiits cause they have no respect for one another, they don't care enough to be nice to their fellow man. It's gonna be the downfall of everything we think is good, pretty soon a human life will be just as worthless in America as it is in these 3rd world countries that blow themselves up for 30 virgins. Just be courteous, damn. If a tournament fisherman can't be any more professional than that this sport will never grow to be even half the size of BASS. I'll step off my box now. Yall have fun.

I said it.And how is it bad sportsmanship????Especially when I'm not breaking any tournament rules when I do it.Would you rather a person shoot up all the good holes and get those fish good and spooky?I hate to be the one to break it to you but this is how it works.When a person buys a fishing license, they are buying the right to take whatever legal fish they choose wherever they want to take them and however many they feel like taking,if there isn't a limit.I reserve that right just the same as anybody else that buys one.What I'd like to know is who the hell made you God????And what do people in 3rd world countries have to do with shooting fish???Sounds to me like someone needs to lay off of the crack pipe.

Screw them.Can't please everybody.If you want to shoot fish and your not breaking any rules or laws by doing so then shoot them.Shoot them wherever you please and however many you want to.It's your right.Speaking of bass tournaments.I've shot in some bowfishing tournaments that were going on during bass fishing tournaments.I'm sure that made the bass fishermen real happy.I've pleasure fished while major bass tournaments were going on.I've got in a few cuss matches with them too because they thought they owned the lake.Well I got news for anyone that thinks they do and will not hesitate telling them where they are wrong either.I know my rights and I'll be damned if I'm going to let someone tell me I can't do something that I can.
