A buddy and I have been wondering how you keep from having the Line "Cut" your hands when BowFishing? Do you wear gloves, or just use a Line with a large enough Diameter to prevent Cuts?

I just have man hands, no gloves and don't get cut that much. I also use a retriever not a spinner......don't get us started on the spinner vs. retriever.........
Have never wore gloves and never will. Hate the feel while shooting. Also the white hands from no sun looks a little off. Especially with my farmer tan. Gotta keep the tan even.
you can get cloth gloves that have a rubberized palm and fingers at walmart. there are the berkly brand in the fishing section and the wells lamont brand in the mens section. both are good and the grip a wet string great. cheap too!
Thanks folks. I've spent a lot of time in the Rain and have had a good many Line Cuts due to my hands getting "soft" as they absorb moisture. And my Line Cuts seem like they take a very long time to heal. I was conserned you all would think it was a really off-the-wall question.
When you shoot with Gloves on your hands, do you still use the "No Gloves"(or the new product at Backwater) on the Line? I'm going to "guess" - yes.
I usually dont wear gloves, just wrap the line around my hand instead of grabbing it and it wont cut you. I do wear them when shooting big gar just so I can grabbem and not get cut when they start floppin around
Once in a great while I'll wear a batting glove.I don't like waring them unless I have to.If I have trouble pulling my arrows out then I'll turn my poundage down until I quit having trouble.I keep a retriever bow handy to.The string on them never hurt your hands.
I never use gloves, just bare hand retrieve. My partner always uses gloves, just wish he'd wash them once in a while, those boys get nasty after a trip or two and he usually leaves them in my rig for the next trip.
No gloves for me.. Although I wish I would have about 20% of the time. It's just such a pain in the arss the other 80%.
