In NJ you need to have your bow cased when driving to and from the fishing area.. if you leave it in the truck before you head out onto the water it wont get wet.. I have an old soft case from the 80's that my tidal wave is now floating around in.. im due for a new case that fits it better. but you need a roomy case if you don't want to have to remove the retriever and or bow light..

I bought a soft case for my Osprey from the factory it was only about $40 and I keep it in the case while in the truck too bulky for the boat. Maybe yours would fit better in the boat?

My covers will fit right over retrievers, reels,rods and lights. May be able to design a neoprene slip cover as well.

I was thinking about adapting a truck bed toolbox to hold a few bows. I like the "sock" idea as it's almost double protection if I put my bows in it first and then in the toolbox. Keep them from banging against the inside of the box, against each other and would also help keep the dirt off them from pulling the boat up and down gravel roads. Keep us updated on your progress.

i keep mine in a soft case when its in the truck and boat to help keep it, the reel, and rest from getting beat up or broken when i travel other than that it gets hung up in the barn when im at home

Keep the hunting bows in a hard case and the bowfishing bows in a soft case.

The bowfishing bows are just in the case for transport, once on the water they go on a bow hanger in the boat.

Bowfishing bows have no case they go in the Bed of the truck or back seat. Hunting bows stay in the case

Chuck Belmore has the best case I've seen. It works great for "guest" fishing (fishing on other peoples boats).

That's why I like this one, pocket on the side has arrows back up retriever and a few tools. Grab n go if I hit someone else's boat.
