Do any of you guys that bowfish and duck hunt, every hunt from a fan boat? I am wanting to put a fan on my boat very soon for bowfishing. I know it will also be great for getting me back into those shallow hunting areas as well. My concern is that it will be very hard to hide a fan. Does anybody else have one? any advice will be much appreciated.

just don't hunt out of the boat. Even a flat bottom with only a duck blind on it is to noticable to ducks. One day its there and the next its not.

I can't tell you how many people ask me what the lights are for. I tell them its so I can run over the ducks while they are sleeping. =)

i do it but like they said i wouldnt hunt out of it inless its low profile and you get in tall grass or brush

...we never hunt out of the boat...you'll be fine in a fan rig...just drape some camouflage material over da boat...and then walk 300 yards away from it...but lots of guys do good out of boat blinds..

The only time we hunt out of the boat is if we absolutly have to like said above you should be fine.

We use ours a good bit, but just like everyone else is saying, we park it a good ways away and cover the fan with some burlap and then walk to where we want to set up

In dc it is illegal to hunt from a fan or air boat

I was planning on parking it and leaving when possible, but several of my spots it is illegal to hunt from the bank. if you get out of the boat they will charge you with tresspassing...Your perfectly find to hunt from the boat against the bank, but get out of the boat and you got to deal with mr green jeans... its dumb i know, but you got to do whats legal....

We only hunt from the boat when were on the river, Use the boat for your decoys and use waders to get to where you want to hunt
