i just map quested your location. its a 5 + hour drive to my part of the world. if you want to make it here i can put you on some talapia. i give those poor fish hell around here. we could even use my boat if you want.
gibbons is my "home" lake. i have also got another one that can be shot in the daytime.(which is fine for hunting talipia). not posting the name of it just yet. havent been able to try it out yet. may be a new honey hole!
I shoot all over tx many of the souther lakes have then heck ive seen then in the city of Dallas just no numbers cause of the cold. If you have an airboat day shoot. Pull up on the flat spook them off thier nest then thud as they swim back move 15 yards rinse and repeat. No fan or airboat walk shallow same thing.
Frog-how do you see them in gibbons?! I live in Cstat and have tried it a couple times but its so dang MUDDY ive never shot much. maybe it was just muddy from rain when I went. Give me a holler if you need another shooter sometime.
Sucks bout them shutting it down during the week, fish there a lot, 15 min from my house, some days its pretty tough fishing when its windy and with recent rain. Lots of big Tilapie though, a lot bigger than the ones in Fairfield, but more to shoot at in fairfield.
