I've seen a less than a year old hascon blow apart. One blade completely go left a perfect ring in the hub, one blade had a chunk missing, and last one cosmetically looked good. We were in open water, dunno what happened!

I had this exact thing happen to me. But I know what happened. I had a piece of rabbit wire that I used as a shroud cover to come loose and hit the blades. It was to no fault to hascon, it was my own stupidity.

The second time I was ever on a fan boat, an arrow prob wooden blade blew up on us for no reason. We were in open water hoping around from island to island. So I know chit happens to both brand props.

Bottom line is, props are like trucks. Some sware by fords others chevy and even dodge. You get a lemon in ALL of them sometimes. The day they make a perfect prop is the day someone has the perfect boat (ain't gonna happen)

Something i took into account when i ordered mine was size.

Arrow or comp would have been 52-59 inches where hascon was 43 inches. My hascon will be here tomorrow and ill see if its good or bad...

Here's how I see it. Powerfin is the best prop for a fan boat hands down. IVO is next just doesn't make the trust the powerfin does. Then u make a drastic jump in thrust to an Arrowprop. But the Arrowprop is reasonable and durable. Arrowprop and competition props are one in the same. Arrowprop buys from competition. Then id buy a wood prop before I'd buy a hascon. Seen several broke blade. And of looks could break.... If would never make it on the shaft.
