Going up to friends cabin on pickerle lake just south of dead for a long weekend and was going to bring the boat. anyone from the area and could help me with some spots. i have star, ottertail river, long, sybil, and rose lake on the radar so far.

They aren't nearly what they used to be but I wouldn't overlook the popular ones. Dead, Rush, Ottertail. Seems like since there was an airboat running around we get yelled at a lot more on Dead so don't be surprised about that.

Any of those get bad weeds or algae bloom? And what part of dead are they concentrated by the cricks? Thanks

There are areas of Dead that will be basically unfishable because of the weeds. I have never run into algae issues. I focus on pencils and sand flats this time of year.

Well I figured out my troller has been leaking and is all corroded so so much for the shoot this weekend.
