7/32 and yes I plan on paracord.

May try and aquire some handle making skills in the future, diy micarta or epoxy, perhaps I can talk my grandfather out of some of that black walnut we harvested.

I wish I had seen that Payphone, I'm going to go look it up online.

That looks good Gary. Is it about 3/16" thick? And based on your handle holes, are you doing a paracord wrap?
They had a table full of things to pick from to make their blades. The other three picked ball bearings, which is what I would have picked, and the last guy actually made two blades. The one he turned in was from the mower blade. Had he stuck with just one blade, I think he would have moved on and done well. The one he turned in was just about 75% done. It was still impressive for only having a few hours with strange tools. I know it makes for better TV, but I can't stand when they put a clock on craftsmanship.

Finally finished the Santoku blade with a maple handle...and I'm learning. Tried a full grind and went too far, so the look is not exactly what I wanted as the blade got too thin...but on the plus side, I got it super sharp. Done with practicing on the mower blades, started a few this weekend with 1095 high carbon steel.

Now for something a little more tacti-cool. The tiny one is still a piece of lawnmower blade, but the bigger two are 1095 blade steel. The handles are micarta that I made with canvas and burlap...and learned that the burlap has to be good and soaked or it leaves little air pockets.

Hey guys, been making a few more knives and thought I would post them. No more mower blades, these are all hi-carbon blade steel.

Thanks guys. Trying to fix my picture issue to post the others...think I got it.

Both of these have home made canvas micarta handles, stainless tubes, blued blades, and about 7 1/4" OAL.
