I have been shooting a Retriever ever since I can remember........ I'm getting sick of having to pull in the by hand and have line all over the deck, so I wanted to change things up! Just ordered a Muzzy Spinner Reel and Reel seat with some Fast Flight line! Should be here by this Thursday! Cant wait to try it out!

Well sweet! Yeah that is the only thing I am scared about is the snap back, but I watched WGB444's video on youtube and the line broke.

I have some other Q's........Is it hard to attach the line to the reel? or is it like any other spinning reel?

It is incredible how much people debate the issue, but Sheriff Brady pretty much summed it up.....and then people still want to debate it...lol. You'll be fine though, just about everybody shoots 200 FF and it ALWAYS breaks. Just pay attention to the rest and check for mystery knots. They are far and few between though. You're gonna love the spinner man!!:applause:

I had it happen with my retriever too, I always wear gloves just in case and glad I was that day cause I shot before I noticed it. (without gloves maybe I would have felt it first IDK)

Read the instructions with the reel and follow the tips and techniques report as well. The line has to be tied on with a slip loop and double looped around the spool to keep the line from slipping around the spool and you should be fine. Good luck and enjoy your new reel!
