Dang and that doesnt splash water over the back of the boat? If minw was even close to that far trimed in i would sink the boat in 5 minutes. Its not a issue of having enough trim its a issue of water splashing over the back of the transome when i try to trim it that far. Im just gonna get some tabs put on and be done and i won't have to worry about any splashing or porposing. I had some auto tabs before the pods were on there and they worked great they just wouldnt fit on my pods so now im back to square one all over again. Stupid boats!!!

I know you have more info then you probably need but I do see a few definite problems. The first is prop. You will do some real long term damage to your outboard that under pitched. I know they are not cheap but spend the money and get a prop that you can full throttle and puts you in your optimum RPM range and save repair money in the future. That will take a ton of strain off your motor! Its hard to find the right prop untill you get the motor hight correct though because that will change RPM's as well. As for hieght of motor, lots of people set thier motor hieghts different ways. Just going through a new motor swap myself I can say that every exspert I talked with said to get on plane and trimmed out to a smooth ride and you should be able to see your anti-cav plate with only a bit of water going over it (More mist than flow) Any lower and you will have more resistance under water than needed. Once your motor is set at the proper hight then you can test props to find the right pitch. I would almost bet if you did both of these like most factories suggest, you may help your porpusing problem a ton without a ton of extra steps. But I still think the trim tabs are ganna be needed with that much weight in back. Once again good luck, let us know what you come up with.

Thanks guys!! Im gonna order a new prop monday and also get some tabs welded on. Also i didnt realize my motor rpm range was 4500-5500. Good thing it porposed so bad that i never really had the option to go over 5500 without the boat about bucking us out. LOL!!

He's referring to my boat, I put a $53 stingray whale tale on it which is a 90hp Yamaha and didn't move any weight. Bolted it on without having to drill any holes and 5 minutes later, no porposing.
Yeah i tried just the tail and if it did anything it wasnt enough to notice. Hopin the new prop solvers some of the problem.

Ok guys i got my new Power Tech prop ln the boat andnout for the first time today. Propossing and hoping is gone!!! Never would i have dreamed that reproping would fix the issue. Thanks guys!!!!! By the way, drivin a slick bottom at 48mph is scary as hell!!! LOL!!! I dont know why it even has a streering wheel above 40mlh. It doesnt do anything. LOL!!

Glad it worked out! Did you ever end up putting tabs on the pods or just the prop fixed it?

No tabs on the pods. I just went back with an alluminum 19 pitch prop. Its what power tech recomended and the prop shop in KC darn near swapped straight across for two new alluminums for my stainless. :tu:

guess we guessed right
