i once saw a p[icture of a narrow boat that had a aluminum thing that looked like a small out rigger, or a fuel tank off of a jet fighter on each side up front' but it waas in porporstion (sic) with the boat. it said that when the boat was on plane, the tanks didn't drag in the water. He did it because the boat was unstable being so narrow and a sharp V HULL ? Looked like it might work

I have seen the exact same thing at a tournament one time. It seemed to work just fine for the two guys that were using them and they did ride out of the water when they left the launch site.
