Actually conduit may be the best choice, lots cheaper, I could build u a gaff head for it, ship it, u could go to any hardware store and buy whatever length u want.

I got ideas rollin through the brain now, ill build the whole thing, doll it up make it look factory, just charge parts and shipping, u can be my guinea pig, I don't work in the winter so this could end up being a side job for me! All I'd ask is for a good review, if its good product!

all right will do

the one I made out of 5/16 ss rod and put a muzzy point with a gar tip pinned on it, took the barbs off. when it gets dull i put on a new tip or just pull it off and sharpen it seems to work good this way. mines about 2 foot long and shaped like the number 7 with a 4-6 inch tee handle on the end.

Got an idea for ya. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and check out their telescopic paint poles. There are several different types that can handle various weight fish. Then have someone fab up a gaff that will spin / thread up on the end. These poles are light wieght and slide up inside one another to be about three feet long or longer depending on the reach your looking for. That will save on the weight associated with the pole if you have to get one shipped to you.
just an idea.

Yes and no, the problem with a telescopeing paint handle is it won't hold up to bowfishing, ill build a good sturdy one that will last for years, it'll be a couple weeks. Ill post up pics, if u don't like it ill keep it.

ok but whats it gonna cost or are u gonna send me a "pre proudustion" one and u should start a thing like skippys pvc bows then i could say im a PRO staffer lol

Here's one or actually two I made a few years ago. Both will thread up on any typical painters pole push pole or broome handle of one sort or another. One of these is made like a typical gaff and the other is straighter. We use it to hack into tougher scaled fish like gar that the j-hook shape can't penetrate because they're thicker scales and stuff. We swap them out on the run. Each is made from half of a 1/2 inch stainless steel union and some 1/4 inch stainless rod. There is a flat washer to add strength. One picture has is extended the other all the way in.
