This should be good... The "Where can I find Gator Gar" posts are generally fun for everyone but the guy wanting to know.
 
I live in the bootheel and have been bowfishing it for awhile now and have yet to see one. Ive heard they have let some loose but never have been lucky enough to find one or heard of anybody finding one. If your luckier than I am let me know!!
 
both KY and MO have been doing reintroduction programs you can't shoot them in KY if you find one in MO you can but good freaking luck you shoot a gg in MO you will make yourself famous ill tell you that!!!

I'm kinda surprised you haven't moved up there yet you know, to fit in with the dumber crowd :) but tell me this, are the gar in da grass up there?

i enjoy the fish and the people up there but they can keep that god forsaken place texas is where i belong!
 
Like crfishunter said ,few & far between. There has been two killed over 100lb in the last 15 years & those were in diversion channel. Mostly shortnose & a few longnose around here.
