Well have line on 2400watt/ 2900peak Generac Generator. Its about 5yrs old and a buddy said he would sell it to me for $100. My plan is to run 6- 500watt halo's with 300watt bulbs. I have read on this forum you don't want to run past 80% working load. My deck shooting/ casting deck is roughly 4x4, 2 on the sides and 2 up front, so I hope I have enough lighting. I was really looking at the 3500watt Champion but for a hundred bucks I didn't want to pass on a deal. Has anybody worked with this Generator pro/ cons.............Worth a try?

Generac's is she enough?
80% of that genny is roughly 2300 watts. 300 x 6 = 1800 watts your good!! I had an older model generac 4000 that i was not that impressed with but for 100 bucks.. thats a good deal!
1920w is 80% of the 2400w running load but you are still good. 6 lights should give you pretty good coverage too............and for a hundred bucks I would do it even if i didn't need it.
I run a brand new 1200w Generac on my little 14ft jon, works fine for me. I've ran it no problem at 1000w continously.
