Possibly breaker or plug getting hot/tripping...especially if it did I it faster and faster every time. Also may be close to overloading.

 

U pulling way too many amp with that many light on that genny that's why it's shutting down it's only rated for 1600 continuous watts. And 8 Hps with capacitors is max and 5 if they don't have the capacitors in them

 

A 3000 watt genny only rated for 1600 comtinuous? Think you misread.

 

Your pulling 2350 watts. That's 19.6 amps off of a 20 amp breaker. The breaker is getting warm and tripping. The warmer it gets the easier it trips, hence the tripping faster and faster part. Try to split your load.

just drawing too many amps. Ours will do this on occasion if our converter runs on high for too long, lights will shut off (sometimes just 1 or 2 lights) and genny will still run. We unplug everything for a minute then plug back in and they all fire up. This is on my Honda EU2000i

 

Your generator has a 30amp plug on it also. I'm guessing your using the 20amp? If so you need to get a adapter plug and use the 30amp and you should be fine. Or you could split your lights up into two banks and plug one side into the 30 and the other into the 20.

 

Yessir time as I seen honda I assumed 2000. But still pulling too many amps if on a single breaker and not the rv plug

 

replace the halos with hps.more light...less amps.

 

I am running almost the exact set up....running off the 30 amp plug....I have no issues.....8 150 HPS....2 250 halo.....2 400 halo.....
