Ok right now I'm running 8- 300watts Halo's,I want to change them to 500 watts,the generator I'm using is 2500 watts I Now thats going to be small of watts.will a 3500 watts be ok,or a bigger one.

Nope.. gonna need a bigger one... You are going to be pulling a constant 4000 watts

Ideally you don't want to exceed 80% of your running watts of the genny... If 3500 is you running watts you shouldn't go over 2800 watts

I would try miss matching the 300/500watt lights. Keep your jen at 80%.You have to consider the watts and the amps especially when working with HPS lights.

I have the EF2800i and it is an awesome machine. it fires all my lights up at once and runs all night on less than one tank

You can run 5 500 watt haogens to get you just under 80% of your genny or you can go 6 and you'll be a hair over 80%
