This is gonna be my response to the e-mail, but I will not do it without aaron's permission.........and aaron, if you do not want to be in this mix, I have no problems with that.....I just do not like how these e-mails are being sent out with all those people listed and we are made the liars and we made this up.....
so aaron, you say yea or nay to this, but either way.....this is their reasonings as to us lying to make the journal ok in our minds and how we are fabricating things to make it sound good for us.....but....this will also give dan and penny a gracious way out some but will also allow them to put either the blame on jmac, or say its all made up.....and aaron misunderstood....
penny,
this is from one of your ex- sales guys from our Board Room that we have set up since the spring meeting......with his permission and mine as to the conversations and how they have unfolded with the statement of "complete lie"....I did tell him that you guys may have not known that justin did this, but still....it was done....and it was done on sunday night, the same day the journal went live....

No More Bowfisher and the BAA
As per a phone conversation with penny with the Bowfisher Magazine on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 1825 (6:25pm), they no longer want to be any part of the BAA, nor do they want to be mentioned with the BAA. They feel that the E-Journal is in direct conflict with the Bowfisher Magazine, and will be having their attorney contacting us through a letter stating as such. We will no longer be offering the subscription of the magazine with membership, and I have asked mike to remove it from the BAA website and also from the paypal account.
Dan is also withdrawing from being a state rep for missouri.
We will have to decide as to the membership fee that we have or to change it back to the $30.00 for members....

I pretty much told them that they can shove it! I don't do anything for the money or popularity, it all about the future of the sport and supporting the companies that support us.
I think I'll stay on the BAA side!

as alan has said...we have had a journal for 20 years......I do not think that we will be competing for business.....ESPECIALLY since its for members....but they are not happy for us placing it on open forum for people to see the accomplishments of the new journal and the hard work for free I might add that the guys did for the BAA to have for their members....I told them that it was for promotional reasons to let people see what the journal would look like....

Both of which are fine by me if this is the way they want to run their company, its clearly not about the sport to them anymore.
They are seriously prusuing legal action on an article that was written and never clasified as exclusive, they'll have a fun time trying to win that battle!
The BAA is not looking to make any money on this E-journal, plain and simple they have a different agenda.

the sad thing is we were generating them subscriptions with BAA memberships, and they stopped that....and as far as i am concerned, they could have used anything from the e-journal they wanted if this would have turned out differently.....afterall, they WERE BAA members, and I do not think anyone would have cared...I know I would not have....different people write different things, and submit them all kinds of places.....by them severing all ties, they have lost potential subscribers, potential material,(free), pics, etc.....I just do not get it....we in no way will be competing against them.....except in their minds.....
I have had TONS of phone calls about this, and NO ONE has mentioned anything regarding dropping the magazine for the e-journal...when I mention that this is a possible reason as to the response from them....they laugh.....NO ONE had even considered that......they just look at it as another thing to read about bowfishing, not a replacement....so again, the only ones who are thinking this way is dan and penny....

Man what a mess! Jmac called me, pissed that I told you they threatened my job! He swears that what he meant was referring to if the BAA would still allow me to work for the bowfisher?!
I still have the text he sent me on my phone, I think not! Either way I quit the magazine and don't want to work for them. Maybe he meant what he said but it sure didn't come off like that.
