Never thought there were so many people addicted to bowfishing! Just wanting to introduce myself and to get a bit more active on these forums! My name is Luke and ive been addicted to bowfishing for over 5 years now. Im located in New Zealand which is pretty sweet. Im at my local university doing a bachelor of science and enjoying the poor student lifestyle. I only ever bowfish from the bank or wading through the water when its warm. There is nothing poisonous or dangerous in NZ really the only thing that can kill you is the water. The species I bowfish for is the ornamental Koi Carp because we have no common carp in NZ. So all the carp I see are a nice bright orange. Its pretty sweet when it comes to regulations as there is no laws about killing pests so I dont need a fishing licence or anything I can just go to the river anytime and whack some fish. Im currently not able to bowfish at the moment because I sold my bow (and my slingbow broke) and currently trying to buy a new one but the local archery shop is bending me over backwards trying to get me to pay way more than I should for a decent Bow, the equivalent of $340 american for a pse wave and $270 dollars for a pse discovery 2. If anyone is willing to sell me a bow and send it all the way to middle earth i'm more than willing to pay (if my student budget can allow for it!)
