ok...I have a new 101 Riptide 36v troller

I just bought 3 new POWERMAX 12v 45amp converters

already have 3 new deep cycle batteries wired in series for 36v

I will have a fuse in line between the batteries and the troller and will keep the converters cool and dry

all I need to know is if there is any secret to getting optimum performance/life out of the equipment listed

thanks in advance

*note: schematics would be fine if you can email them to me

I reccomend using Anderson connectors unless your going to hard wire the converters to the batteries. They are quick, simple, and give a really good connection. Also, make sure you got the right gauge wire. I always go a step up from the wire chart to be safe. And double check your fuse/circuit breaker. A buddy of mine installed a breaker that was way too big and fried his troller.

Thanks R-man!

hookup is SUPER easy, just (+) and (-) to each battery in your series and you're set! As far as the converters go just make sure they have ventilation and keep them dry. The other thing I suggest is to run them full time instead of draining the batteries first, especially with 45's as it will be MUCH harder for them to catch back up and charge the batteries while in use of the trolling motor
