I know alot of people have been asking and questioning about fans on small boats, and about small boats in genereal so here y'all go. 1450 Xpress all welded, 50 horse evinrude, float pods, 6.5 hp fan with a 34" prop from competition aircraft, 6 150 watt HPS, 2 70 watt HPS, and a detachable 50lb thrust troller for daytime gar. It is entirely possible to build a great bowfishing rig out of a really small boat, although looking back now I wish I would have gone bigger! But it is fairly stable and can get into alot of tight spots where bigger boats cant. We regularly shoot three with no problem at all, but 4 can get a little tricky. The 6.5 horse fan does really well and still suprises me sometime. It will drag bottom through soft mud and push up some fairly swift water. Weight will be your biggest enemy if you are planning on going with a small boat. We had a 55 gallon barrel full of fish and some covering the floor one time and it still did ok, but I definitly would not recommend doing that!

I have a 1450 but its made in 63.
