Would like to know everyones opinion on running 6 hp kickers on 1870.. Is it enough motor if you shoot 4 people on the front? Is it perfect with just 3 people? is it enough motor to get over small stumps? Do you wish you would have put a bigger motor on it and what not... thanks

ive got a 9.9 on my 1860 and i never regret goin that big. great for going over stumps and running fish down

A good friend of mine has a 5hp Tohatsu on his 2072. It fishes 5 people up the strong Savannah river current with no issues at all. Its not like having a 9.9 or a 15, but it does a good job. I would take any size motor in the 5-15hp range that I could get a good deal on.
