Man you cant count all that stuff or you could NEVER afford it! Stuff like 5 batteries, gps, two trollers, two starters, fuel pump, alternator, drive belt(379 bucks), on board charger, new plug wires, distributer, mid ship brace, welding, replace 2 broken 400wt MH, steering cable, etc.....just in the last year.....

Well its not much but the next one will be the "pit"
boat - free
trailer- 60, free but needed repairs
generator and lights - 380
new troller - 500
fix outboard - 200
batteries -135
deck - 40 (had the materials)
so far 1300 or so

think im still under the 5k mark (barley) and i thought i was putting alot into it...Good post makes me feel alot better about it

I have had my boat for 11 years so i dont no way to much but worth every penny.

Before opening this thread I was thinking 13-14k but after reading the posts and thinking about how much crap I have broke and fixed and added and tore off, It's much more than that! thanks for throwing a cold bucket of water on my happy little world!!

If you were to add up the cost of motors alone you would have 95% of us beat.

$16.5 and counting. Ordered a hydraulic jackplate, steering and fuel tank today.

I can already see I'm gonna have $20k+ in this boat to get it like I want. Starting to think I should have just bought a damn airboat.:jd:
You say that untill you burn 12 gallons of fuel per hour! Haha I like te avatar pic btw!

Oh, I almost forgot, this boat cost me an additional $45,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wife and I drove from GA to LA to meet clark3 to pick up the boat, and decide to take her truck(that I rarely drive) which is an 08 F250 4x4 5.4 gasser. I drive an 05 F-350 diesel but her truck has cruise, rides better and is more comfy than mine. On the way out there we got 11 mpg. On the way back pulling the boat we got 6 freaking mpg. My right leg was sore from holding the accelerator to the floor for 550 miles. We had to fill up every 100 miles! When we got home I vowed to never drive that POS again!

Monday I traded her gasser in on a 08 F-350 4x4 CC SB 6.4 diesel, 6" lift, 37's with 18,000 miles. The wife loves it, she actually found the truck.

Soooo......including the truck, I've actually got over $60k in the boat, lol.

Will, the pleasures of being married! But it sounds like she got a real nice tow rig. How you gonna stop her from loading up and hitting the lake with out you! When we met you guys it seemed like she wanted to go fishing that very instant! I think will has the coolest wife on BFC, just sayin. Will does she outfish ya?

And we got 15.4 in the dodge 3500, but i can see where these larger boats with the light rail do grab some air.
