You can run HPS lights on a regular genny, we did it for years :tu:Can you run these lights without a inverter type genny.Thought in the old site it was said inverter was a must with hps .
Not everything you read is true. lol I think some people have had issues with hps lights flickering on some of the cheaper[Champion etc] gennys. Any quality genny that can maintain a stable current/voltage will run hps/mh lights just fine. Can you run these lights without a inverter type genny.Thought in the old site it was said inverter was a must with hps .
Thank u Mr.MikeYou can run HPS lights on a regular genny, we did it for years :tu:
Thanks WaterproofThe cleaner power you have the better your lights will run. However you don't NEED the invertor style generators to run HPS lights.
Thanks OBG.Not everything you read is true. lol I think some people have had issues with hps lights flickering on some of the cheaper[Champion etc] gennys. Any quality genny that can maintain a stable current/voltage will run hps/mh lights just fine.
Probably but a good one would more than likely cost as much as a decent genny. lolOBG is there some sort of a inline inverter u could use if u have problems.
Thanks.Probably but a good one would more than likely cost as much as a decent genny. lol
I think Mud posted the chart on the "Let's talk lights" thread.OBG posted a couple of charts that show everything from lumens to amp wattage reguirements for a ton of different lights and all. Search for it and you should get a lot of good info. out of it.
