I am currently running 9- 300w halo lights . looking at getting either the 250 hps lights or the new 80w seelite lights. I mostly fish muddy water... whats everyone think???

We have 10 12v 50watt seelites in halo color. They would be real comparable to your halos as far as brightness and penetration so they wouldn't be much of a upgrade. Havnt seen the 80watts on the water yet or no real side by side comparison pics but I'm sure there defiantly brighter but I would still want probably 10 of them and that would be some serious $. One thing have noticed about our led's is how bad they glare. If out in the open water and not on a bank it don't seem as bad. We have them in the halo color and don't know why but they put a glare on the water bad enough you will loose sight of fish in it. Didn't have this problem with our old $9 500watt halos. We have to be able to run silent though for bigheads but if it wasn't for that we would have HPS no doubt.

Thanks for the help guys !! Sounds like it's time for me to get some hps the 250 watt should be plunty bright that way I don't have to run over a 3000 genny and stay semi quiet

Pair of Honda 2000's and 5) 400W HPS with digital ballasts in custom housings from ShowMeBowfishingCustoms. More light then you will EVER need!! Came from 7) 50W warm LED's and happy as anything!!
