Quick question for yall with tunnels. Whats best for them, hydrofoils of compression plates? I got a 16' alumacraft tunnel with a 50 merc, hydrofoil, manual jack plate maybe 5"of setback and a 3 blade prop. I have no problems getting up and no problems runnin skinny, but when I turn, unless I make a W I D E turn, or trim the engine way down my prop blows out. I know (I think) I need a cupped 4 blade, but would a compression plate be better for me than the hydrofoil?
Thanks

Thanks. Is there a "style" that's better than others? you know longer, wider............ I really know nothing about them. I was just watching vids of engines runnin in the water and got to wonderin what the difference was. It seemed to me like they would put more h2O back on the prop but I didn't know..... Think Ill gain more water pressure with one vs a hydrofoil?
