I ordered 8 of these directly from the manufacturer in China. Curious to see how this new COB Led technology stands up to the traditional stuff we're accustomed to.

From some of the specs I have seen the Lumen output of COB led are less than Chip equivalents

Not worried about how bright they are, just how hot they get.

When ever I'm researching lights, I go to the "indoor grower" forums.

Those guys are way more serious about lights than we are. Profits depend on it.

Everything I read suggests more lumens per watt while being more efficient than previous technology.

I would suggest to ogling the differences. COB is the latest tech.

Also get an inverter generator.

Paid 27$ for 2x 50w a few days ago on ebay. For that price I'll give them a shot.

For my the specs I have seen COB led have less lumen output than a chip of the same watts.
