Dont Know what is going on with the motor, when i got it out of the box a month ago it had no problem running. Now it starts perfect barley need choke at all, but it dies within a few seconds like it is starving its self of gas. i took apart the carb, cleaned it out, there is nothing clogged. same with the fuel line. started it nearly 50 times, nothing has changed.

Anyone have the same problem before?
Thanks for the help.

Its not the low oil sensor or it wouldn't even crank up. If it runs at all its not oil sensor. Turn gas off.Take bottom of carb off get a small piece of wire like a strand from a wire cable. Run it up the cylinder that the bolt threads in in the top of the cylinder is the tiny hole or jet of the carb weave the wire in it as far as you can go. Take air filter and housing off top the hole on top should have the wire sticking out. Its prob 8-10 inches of wire . Take out the wire and turn gas cut off on if no gas runs turn back off and take fuel line off at the bottom of the gas tank. If it doant run out. Its in the fuel filter unscrew the filter out of the tank and drain tank its prob got rust in it at the bottom take a air Jose and blow it out and clean and blow the filter off put it back I. An see if gas runs through when you put it back on. I had to do this about 3 weeks ago metal tanks will sweat and rust if they aren't full of gas.

Yes it could but its sounds like a gas issue like garret said its using whats in the bottom then dying. Mine did this same exact thing 3 weeks ago. It looked like it was on a level surface but if its not try it on level surface or just check oil and add some. I had to change my oil too cause it had water in it where it sweated .

Yes, It could be the low oil sensor. If the oil level is just high enough when the engine isn't running to let it fire up, but once the crank shaft starts splashing the oil around in the case, the level drops too low, it will shut down. I've had this happen on my genny while trying to charge up a freezer during the last storm. I'm not for sure this is the problem, sounds like it could be starving for gas also, but I'd check the oil level before I dug into anything else.

Do you have the idle set to low? I had the same motor an had to idle it pretty high?

Check the fuel lines could be clogged.

Do you have an additional fuel pump installed? Not familiar with your motor but most fan engines require an additional fuel pump. Also do you have a fuel pressure regulator installed and adjusted? Maybe your engine doesn't need these things but most do.

Is that the little black plastic screw ontop of the carb? yes i have tried that up and down.

Tank vent functional?(test by removing gas cap and starting)
it still dies out with the open tank.

Will it restart immediately after stalling?
yes with no problem.

i checked the oil right away, it is about 3/4 up the stick and almost all the way filled.

I took it to a shop where i used to work, the mechanic Guru took the carb apart and found that the float pin had to slide over a little bit. then it worked. went out shooting last night. and after 2hrs i had the same problem. Im going to start with that but if that doesnt work ill keep trying the suggestions.
Thanks for all the help!

after taking her out for the first time with a fan. i found that i have alot more problems to work on. Anyone know how to fix a very hard steering, i had to muscle the steering handle VERY hard and my arm was dead after 30min. it was so bad i would not be able to focus on shooting fish but keeping that thing steady.

with all the problems its a good thing we only saw one fish, otherwise id want to be going back out.

I sucked it up and went out in the snow. Not to my surprise you Guys were right again. filled the oil to basically overflown i guess 1/4gt made a difference. and it wouldnt kill its self anymore then kept messing with the idle adjustment screw and set it to where it has the smoothest idle. ran her for about 30min with no problems:clap:
