An Update
The server is paid for and ordered. It should be a screamer when its all set up. For the few geeks among us:
DELL POWEREDGE
TWO XEON 5160 DUAL CORE 3.0GHZ CPU'S W. 4MB CACHE
8GB FBDIMM RAM
4 x 500GB SATA HDD
PERC 5i ARRAY CONTROLLER
DUAL 10/100/1000 ETHERNET



I seen in another thread this new server cost some $$$$$. Why dont we all send some cash to Alex. Times are tight I know but if each of us regulars would send atleast $5 or so it would help pay for what we spend soooooo much time enjoying.

I'd gladly send anything to keep it up. But i think (could b wrong) that the sposors pay for their slots on here as well as the other two sites and that money (I hope) is what they use for keeping us up and running. But I could be wrong if so sign me up to donate

I dont know how all that goes down, but here's a qoute from another thread

yep, I dont know how far site sponsers money get this place throughout a years time but We can do our part and help out with the new server. A few bucks from some of us could help cover that 2500 easy or atleast ease the burden

You guys never cease to impress me! As of right now this is all Alex. This is all out of his pocket not mine and it's all up to him but I doubt he will accept any money. He's never charged members for site related issues. But it's instances like this (and bandwidth)is why need to sell advertiser space. It's the site sponsors that allow us to do what we do and keep this place alive.
