Do any of you guys use an intercom or radio headsets in the airboat? I know some do over on southernAB. It's a huge pain in the rear to come off plane just to say lets try "such and such" cove or trying to interpret my co-pilots sign language while dodging stumps at 30mph. I've found a few different brands ranging from $800-$1200 (4 person)or I could go the economy route and just tie the headsets into portable walkie talkie type radios for 500 or less.

I may just have to start with 2 and just look for tears running down the kids faces to know when they're scared.

I didn't think about faron. I'll give them a shout. I don't know enough about the things to know what the cost of good enough is versus overkill.

You could get some cheap 2 way radios with headsets, I have some motorolas that can be charged off a 12v and they work just fine. Im not saying it will hold a candle to a dedicated system but it would be cheaper!

I've considered that. It seems from what googling I've done that the cost comes with the noise cancelling complexity of the mics.
