The JWR tournament held this past saturday out of wolf creek kentucky was a complete success!!! We had 23 boats in all. Sponsered by Wilsons bait and tackle,AMS, MUZZY, and many others that hopefully some of the guys will chime in on. Thanks to all the sponsers!!!! This was a big 10 format with only allowing 5 silver/bigheads allowed to be weighed in. Kentucky state regulations were followed.
1st place was the chic magnets: Darian Barr, William Opie, and Albert Hem****. These guys took almost 1000 (990) dollars home including big gar.
2nd place was Derek Spink, Jeremy Wilkins, and Troy Burnett. They took I believe 415 dollars home
3rd Place was Brandon Drane, Josh Board, and Dallas Dawson. I believe that was 130 dollars.
Biggest Gar went to the Chic Magnets 160 dollars
Big Fish went to Travis Stull with a 46.5 pound bighead which got him 440dollars to take home
Wasnt sure if this tourny was going to happen but there was a lot of interest at the AMS big 30 so it got put on the schedule and ended up very well. If I am wrong on any of the info I will change it as I dont have the stats right in front of me so they are from memory and I am getting older. This tourny has been held for the past 11 years in a row in memory of Mr. Dans Father (John William Richeson) who played a major roll in exposing Mr. Dan and his grandchildren to the sport of bowfishing many many years ago (1950's I believe). Thanks to all who contributed, competed, and helped out and congrats to all the winners!!!!
