Thanks buddy and we appreciate that. Had some problems at a few ramps in the past with some fish dumping issues and it gave us a black eye for awhile so we have to be very careful around certain areas. Heck we caused enough trouble a few years ago with a tournament we put on there that they still bring that up and airboats are not welcomed on the lake!

nice fishies. i will be bowfising Georgia this year for the first time (for fishies anyways) going to try te same spot i killed my gator at last year. when i was looking for gators there was Gar everywere.

Is any thing moving still on toona ?

Anyone have tips for allatoona. I've never bowfished it before or bowfished in general. Been fishing it since i was a kid. Not looking for anyone's secrect spot i know how those are. Ive got spots i wont even tell my own family. Morre about what areas to avoid. I would figure to stay on the north end.

Got the boat close to being rigged.

Does anyone know a place or person who can or will build a platform.

North and south end are going to be a little stained for awhile so look at areas in the middle of the lake would be your best bet. Any slough or cove will have some fish in them along with rocky banks and some points. Look for buck brush in the back of sloughs and get in the bushes looking for the fish.

Ok thanks mark. I figured the lake is going to be messed up a while cause of all this rain we had. I got into a mess of gar while setting out catfish jugs weekend in before last. Guess they are running the bream and bluegill while they are on bed. I was in a big shallow area catching bream to put on the jugs. The gar were tearing up every bream I hooked. Looking to get a couple gar and maybe a carp or two.

I got 4 big softshell turtles up stamp creek. And one gar by a pole.

I looked at the middle section yesterday on my way home and it did not look bad at all, actually looked pretty green, but that can be deceiving when you put the lights on it at night, but daytime should be good.
Love catching gar on rod and reel, it is a blast. I usually use shiners or bream, but you need to let them run with it, they will usually stop several times, after the 3rd time is when I set the hook and fight them in. They have to turn the fish and position it to swallow so that is why they are stopping after the 3rd time they usually swallow it. I use 30-40# mono leaders and smaller hooks so they can swallow it easily then all I have to do is just snip the line at the jaw to release them. I like to catch them on light tackle and just cannot set the hook in the jaw so have to allow them to swallow the bait. Good luck

HAHAHA...I have a Top Secret Security Clearance in the Army.....I will never tell!!!!!!!!
AHhh the dock gave me away...LOL Anyways, since we all have a good idea of where we were, here is the video my buddy and I made ofthe two day event.
Our country is doomed if you have a security clearance...

LOL.

Looked like fun though...

i was out friday nite doing some jugging since i didn't have everything to get the boat together, I ran into a couple different groups of gar about 20 in each group they were pushing shad like crazy. I spotlighted a couple could have shoot them easily. was north end of the lake. There was one nice one in the group I tried getting it to hit my mop rig I keep in the boat but no luck.

Anyone willing to take a beginner out one nite.

I'm willing to pay whatever is needed. I've got a bow just no boat setup and never been out. Been wanting to go a long time. I can only do sat or Sunday nites cause of having to work 3rd shift at work. I can deal with all fish killed. Since I eat gar and my buddy eats carp.

I'd like to do Allatoona since its the closest.
