Where are you at in cali? It's a big state.

Not much action in my neck of the woods this time of year, the fish head into deeper water when it gets cold.

SoCal might be a different story.

Just a bad time of year brother, when the lakes flip the fish head for deep water.

If you went to my local lakes you wouldn't see a single fish.

Have you tried? :)

My cousin and I used to go and shoot fish in December when it was in the teens.

Had to dig my boat out of two feet of snow that night when we decided to go last minute

Gone out several times, never saw a single fish. Where were you fishing, I'm guessing the delta?

I'm sure I could go to Fox Grove and stick a fish or two if I had to. Perhaps I've gotten spoiled but that seems like a lot of work for a less than desirable result.

Surprisingly it was a Motherlode lake

I normally wouldn't, but when you get bored and don't live too far. Plus the $4 launch isn't too bad :tu:

I think I know which lake your referring to, owned by there army core of engineers?

That had to be in the back by the inlet? I've attempted to fish the west side of that lake in the winter, didn't see anything and went home because I was cold and my ***** was hurting. Never tried the east end.
