So I've been out of the ballast game for a few years but going with 400s on the new project. Seems lumatek is either out of business or simply discontinued the 400 digi dims. Anyone know of this for a fact and if not, where to get em. Follow up question- if lumatek is in fact done what brand is everybody trusting these days. Everybody is a "plant" grower these days so the market is flooded. Not trying to get stuck with junk and have to start over.

I run all lumiteks. 4 older ones and 4 purple dimmable. The purple ones I hate. They have issues. Lumiteks customer service sucks. I think they bought oracle but if you can get your hands on them they seem to be good. My 2 cents. Good luck.

I've never had an issue with lumateks, theyve been my go to for years and I'd like to not switch but it appears they're out of business...which would explain the bad customer service lol. Seems from the folks I've talked to that Apollo is the way to go these days. Anyone have any negatives about them? Anyone running the cheapo ipowers?

I have run Lumatek for 4 years and lost my first of 6 400 Watt purple dimmable units (hopefully the last I'll lose...). I just replaced my down unit with a Quantum. Can't speak for the Quantum's durability yet though...

A few years ago when I was researching this it seemed like Lumatek was the way to go. Bought 4, 400/250's and have had no trouble. Last year I needed 2 more but had heard what everyone is saying and decided to go with the local grow shops Regen 400's. Ran them all this last season and had no problems. 90$ ain't bad either.

Revolts for years never had one fail.
I ran 6 Apollo ballast that i bought last year. I ran them pretty hard through spring and summer, im usually out at least 3 nights a week and they never skipped a beat. I attached a link and you get 400 watt for 66.00 dollars right now. So far no complaints here, cant speak for customer services as i have never needed them.
