I was on backwater bowfishing, looking for arrows and seen the stuff to make your own arrows. I was thinking about making my own so I can make them as I like. Maybe save a little money also. Does anyone on here make their own arrows?

Yes I do. Best glue for the points that I use is the gorilla glue and for Nocks is loc tite gel super glue
there is some other threads here if I recall on making them but it may be on the old site

So do you save a good amount of money on arrows, since you make them your self? How many arrows do you usually go through in a season?

I save quite a bit specially if u buy it when its on sale or free shipping or both I save a bunch I can make a arrow for less than half a new one costs I go through quite a few arrows in December I switch over to the Muzzy carbon mags b.c I was breaking alot of arrows and now I'm going back to yellow jackets I keep hitting rocks or the side of the boat and those mags are pretty much done for

I'm assuming you mean assemble your own, in which case yes we do also. Mainly because I like to pin our tips and try different tips depending on fishing conditions. :tu:

There is very little price difference between buying complete arrows or buying all the components and building your own. The plus side is you can build your own arrows exactly like you want them.

I save around $4 an arrow when building my own.. I buy in bulk, by that I mean several years worth at a time to get a discount. The savings add when when you get on a roll of loosing arrows because of crappy reels :)

you will save around 1.50 to 3.00 per arrow if you assemble them... I will buy whole arrows from time to time but since I can't get the shafts and tip combo I want I have to assemble them not to mention I really don't like most of the knocks that come on some of these arrows...

X2 The first thing I do is change the nock when I get pre-assembled arrows.
