Alright Spinner Fanboys...Spinner line twist. What do we do?

Go to a bottle?
Swivel?
Shoot longer shots?

I already tried shooting longer shots to unravel the mess and that doesn't work too good. The twisting gets so bad that I have to stop shooting and go home. The reel is Muzzy XD and is fine without the twist. As soon as I start getting twist, the line doesn't like to reel, and the last 5-10 feet is beast to get in. I mean it gets so tight that I have to wrench on it like 1" wrench and it still doesn't like go in.

Found out that it was twisting so much that was wrapping on the housing inside the reel, and not on the spool.

The only feasible thing I've found is to cut out the cancer (5-10 feet) and untwist the rest by hand.

There's got to be a better way!:eek::

barrel swivle [different from clip type] 1/0 size at least these will snap 200 lb. line they do help in situations where you can use them don,t know about tying to back we use slides.

What is a situation you can/should use a swivel vs when you shouldn't?

tying to back might not work with swivel might make the weight of the swivel more prone to tangle on line or cables never tried tying to back always slides. with my retriver they work was using one on the penn reel but every now and then i wouldhear a click as the swivel went by the wand so i took it off didn,t want to take a chance of tangle but swivels really help with some of the line twist if drag is loose or line slips on spool tangle bad.
