I disagree w/ ya... my buddy has taken a leak off the back of the boat during a tourney & still managed to run the boat w/ the FOB... thats multitasking
haha just maybe my opi but it takes a little more concentration to bowfish and be good at it then to pee. but yeah that's what makes them sick you can be any where on the boat and control it which is super nice on a big boat. plus i didn't say you couldn't multitask i just said it was hard unless it was hard mounted to something.

I don't have problems with mine I have the key fob and I can drop that just as fast as taking my hand of a hand control. Plus back doesn't hurt as bad at the end of the night. It takes getting used to or Paying attention when your driving but nit enough to distract ya.

About the strength f the motorguide shaft I doNt think you can get much worse then slamming into a concrete wall under water it bent the shaft and didn't break pushed the boat backwards. Only thing hurt was the prop

I bought myself the 80 lb thrust Minn Kota Terrova with Ipilot for Christmas. Has wireless remote and the foot controls. I have only had it on the water twice, but love it so far. HAve not even plugged in the foot controls yet. Has the GPS tracking to record a route and retract the route. Tried it out and it was pretty cool. It also has a GPS controlled anchor ( hit the button and it is supposed to hold you within about 5 feet of your location). I ony tried that feature a couple times, but see it coming in handy at times. Can get extra remotes for it also, so more than one guy in the boat can take over the controls at any time. My boys (15 and 12) drove the boat around like a big toy from the dock the other day when I ran up to get the trailer.

Timberspirit, Thanks for the feedback, still not sure which way to go, got a friend of mine that got me into bowfishin, and he is telling me to get atleast an 80 hand control...jury is still out

Not to change subjects but I am trying to do my research about batteries also and I saw that you posted pics of your battery setup. Are you running two batteries for you lights. I have bought the LED lights from Jeff some time back and ordering a couple more from customfitz, for a total of 12. I have read soooo many post,,, looks like you might have the similiar setup for what I am trying to get done, just wanted to know what you got going on with your lights and TM. thanks
