We kill 3 or 4 of them every year here in Colorado. I know alot of guys that guide with dogs but we always track them in very well scouted areas. If you need a point in the right direction and want to go here in Colorado or southern Wyoming let me know.

Hoopty, thats a tough question, usually the cats with the big bodies have small heads....usually.People think lions are a lot bigger than they are.My State record(Montana)lion only weighed 165 lbs....thats still a heavy cat,but you hear about these 200 lb cats....thats usually bs.I personally have only seen a handful of cats over 200,and I have seen some lions.189 lbs was the biggest cat I have ever killed myself and it was a female that had killed a colt!

Steve, those are dang good rates and I should have checked the present prices before I put those up as they are quite different now!!!!Man I should start running hunts again!!!!

Arizona has some rugged country and some good houndsman. Trips here range from 1500-3500. Most will take you out for around 5 days, some until you tag out
Boy,thats the truth,my hero's hailed from Arizona....Ben Lilly,The Lee Brothers,Dub Evans...They dont make em like those guys anymore!
We used to make an annual trip down to the Kaibab Plateau,to run on that dry ground, the toughest hunts I ever had were there and old Mexico.

If a guy is really serious about taking a big lion I would recommend going to Canada, your chances of killing a book cat are much better up there.

just find one in texas! no limits, no fees, and if you can shoot one, buy a lottery ticket cause ur a lucky son of a gun! theres plenty, but hard to find. been tracking one for a long time and havent seen anything but a few tracks and heard stories. dem thangs are hard to hunt unless u got dogs.

Nice. I wouldn't mind trying that myself one of these days. Lion hunting sounds like good times.
